![]() ![]() I managed to record a run but i uploaded only an example of how it happens (i recorded it 60 frames since windows game bar doesn't allow anything above that framerate, but the frame counter on the lower left side of the screen shows a steady 90 fps with the stuttering dips) This new update was great, loving the new enemies and the barrier drops are great, sadly i still have the same issue, but now it appears it happens randomly between fights, i could go 3 to 5 rooms without a hitch and out of nowhere the sixth room would become a stuttering fest. We'll be on the lookout for more potential improvements in memory allocation mid-fight. Oh and by the way, don't think this has anything to do with the problem but the less variables the better, i recently formated the SSD where i boot windows from (about 3 weeks ago iirc) to Windows 10 Home Edition, i made a backup of my documents folder on another HDD, kep the folder there and told Windows that that folder will be the default document folder. I think im gonna have to sit this one out until the update comes, but i honestly would rather wait and have the problem fixed than never getting the fix at all. ![]() Im the rare breed of PC Gamer that really enjoys motion blur and a high framerate, i don't think the problem is my hardware but as i said before, the game ran (and still runs) smooth as butter, locked to 90 fps and i only see drops to 80-70 when deep into the endless mode where enemies spawn by the hundreds per room (and even then i had no stutters) and i only have to turn Volumetric lighting to medium so i can achieve the framerate i desire. So after trying a bunch of different things (play with everything on low, everything low but motion blur on high, fullscreen vs windowed fullscreen) the problem is still present. ![]() We've managed to reduce memory allocation from ~2Mbytes per spawned enemy to ~200Kbytes.īy the way, most of the memory allocation is done by the motion blur system, so until the next update is released, you should experience way less stuttering if you disable it. I've been working on memory allocation improvements to prevent the stutters from happening as often. However memory allocation is still happening. There are also four Citadels around the Ziggurat which can also be captured as you would any other holy site, by building flags up to the Citadel and then contesting it's ownership.Originally posted by WaaghMan:Having read the problem description a bit more thoroughly, I'm fairly sure the problem is garbage collection after memory allocation, as in the middle of a fight stutters because of loading would be very rare (enemy models are already loaded, and no new things should be spawned). It's no easy task, and it may require the assistance of other alliances for you to defeat the barbarians and take ownership of the Zig. The Great Ziggurat is guarded by incredibly strong barbarians who must be defeated initially to gain control of the Great Ziggurat. But there can only be one first holder, and one last holder for the really big rewards. Perhaps your kingdom will share control of the Ziggurat so more alliances can benefit from it's rewards for some of the time. Whether or not your alliance can take the Zig or not will depend on it's strength as well as a lot of negotiation and pacts from your alliance leaders. ![]() Seeing as it is the most sought after prize in the Lost Kingdom, it will be the most hotly contested site in the game. ![]()
